Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea is a popular Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. After playing bits on a number of Irish and British television series from 2009 Bea was able to begin her stand-up comedian in 2011. Bea began performing often on sketch comedy and sitcoms later in the year. After winning an award during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to be booked regularly for various panel shows where she is now a regular. She has been a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's one of the most popular contestants on the sister show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents are Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her younger sister, was born. In 2012, she was awarded the So You Think You're Funny Award for the second time. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) were raised in a home by Helen Moloney, a instructor and trainer of jockeys who was also a professional jockey. Her parents were obsessed by racing and horses. Bea had a job as a Tour Guide in the Irish National Stud. From an early age, Bea knew that she didn't want racing as a career. Instead she loved the artistic arts.
